The CEDIA Capital Summit brings together industry entrepreneurs seeking to access capital with financial professionals and business experts from the world of investing, mergers, and acquisitions. Who Should Attend 

The Capital Summit is geared to all CEDIA industry executives and investors, including owners, entrepreneurs, senior executives, and finance professionals. It is especially focused on addressing the issues that branded manufacturers and distributors face as they seek growth financing or plan a merger or acquisition.

Managing Director, Intrepid Investment Bankers
Co-Head of Commercial & Consumer Technology

Adam has more than 15 years of investment banking experience in the middle market. He joined Intrepid as Vice President and founding principal in 2010, after nearly a decade of focusing on middle-market mergers and acquisitions at Barrington Associates and Wells Fargo Securities. Adam has executed transactions involving private and public companies in a broad variety of industries, including consumer products, business services, healthcare and industrial manufacturing. 
  Jeremy Burkhardt | Panelist
CEO, Origin Acoustics

For over two decades Jeremy has actively contributed to the growth and development of the residential architectural custom electronics industry, first as the CEO of SpeakerCraft (once the industry’s largest manufacturer and brand), and now at Origin Acoustics. He served on the CEDIA Board of Directors and regularly contributes articles and lectures to a variety of industry trade publications and educational events worldwide. 
  John Heyman | Panelist
CEO, SnapAV

John joined SnapAV in early 2014 as its new CEO. He has worked in the technology industry for over 20 years, most recently as CEO of Radiant Systems. He currently serves as Executive Chairman of MEDSEEK, a provider of SaaS solutions to the health care industry. John co-founded and chairs the board of Orderly, an e-commerce network that enables more productive relationships between restaurants and their suppliers.
Tom Jacoby | Panelist
CEO and Chairman, AVAD Distribution

Tom is an experienced veteran of the consumer electronics industry with an extensive background in the public and private institutional capital markets. Across his career as an entrepreneur, he has worked both as an operational leader and investor, building value and successful outcomes at several CE companies. Currently, Tom serves as the Chairman and CEO of AVAD, North America’s leading provider of high-end integration solutions focused on the commercial and residential custom installation markets.
 
Gary Rabishaw | Moderator
Managing Director, Intrepid Investment Bankers
Co-Head of Commercial & Consumer Technology

Gary is a Managing Director and founding principal of Intrepid. He leads the firm’s Commercial & Consumer Technology practice. He has been involved in numerous domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity capital raises and financing for companies spanning the consumer, industrials, healthcare, and business services sectors. 
 
Jamie Siminoff | Panelist
CEO and Chief Inventor, Ring

Jamie, currently the CEO and Chief Inventor of Ring, the smartphone doorbell, got his start in 2000 when he founded Your First Step, a company which developed global wholesale voice-over IP networks in developing countries. He then expanded into the world of voicemail-to-text with PhoneTag, the world’s first voicemail-to-text company. He holds a B.S. in entrepreneurship from Babson College. 
 
John Stiernberg | Moderator
President and Founder, Steirnberg Consulting

John is Founder and Principal Consultant with Stiernberg Consulting. He has over 30 years of experience in the music and entertainment technology field. He currently works with manufacturers, publishers, inventors, investors, and trade associations on strategic planning, market development, and M&A projects.
  Jim Young | Panelist
Director of Corporate Development, LEGRAND North America

Jim has 25 years-plus experience in mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and operational integration within multiple industries. He has been involved in the origination, negotiation and execution of acquisitions, divestitures, investments and alliances across Europe, South America, Canada and the U.S. He has conducted more than 75 transactions valued at more than $10 billion. At LEGRAND, he has led the acquisitions of Middle Atlantic Products, NuVo Technologies, Electrorack, Lastar (C2G & Quiktron brands), Raritan, Qmotion, Luxul Wireless and Pinnacle Architectural Lighting.
